There is a heavenly forest I know,
Which lingers still to this day.
Its trees are old, its history told
In memories which frolic and play.
I once stumbled into this wood,
Of whence I came, I know not how.
Yet this I can assuredly say,
I would give a day to see it now.
The cool breath of loving trees,
The laughter which echoed throughout;
The singing of flowers and contentment herself,
Lilted here, and there, and all about.
It was here that I found her waiting,
Crowned in all her simple excellence.
To sit, to pray, to worship on high,
And find my rest in peacefulness.
